Snappr.mobi -Search for 'Madonna' on iPhone and BlackBerry

San Francisco, November 24th 2008 – Snappr.net, the platform for easy mobile access and interaction, offers a mobile price comparison and shopping site, which allows shopping and saving money on the go. It combines shopping services from sites like Amazon, Yahoo! Shopping or Shopping.com. The mobile website is available at snappr.mobi and allows product search after entering a product’s barcode or name. The results are displayed according to the accessing device’s capabilities and include not only prices and ratings but also additional metadata like movie ratings from Netflix or music videos from YouTube. The mobile user can buy products directly from the site, get single tracks of a CD via iTunes on the iPhone or download them as ringtones on a Nokia or Motorola device. It is also possible to save the results for later or share them with friends.
”We wanted everybody to be able to shop and compare prices on the go – not only smartphone users. With the holidays coming up, everybody is interested in getting the best products for the best prices, especially in the current economic situation.” says Philip Stehlik, CEO of BayBrain, Inc., the company behind Snappr.

Snappr.mobi is a prime example of how more and more services get mobilized and are easily accessible on different devices. The site is available in English and German but shopping results are gathered from services all over the world and do not only work in the US, but also Europe and other continents. Snappr.mobi is a site offered by Snappr.net, a provider of mobile technology and mobile interaction based in San Francisco, California. The service launched in September and is getting steady traction and interest from bloggers and online-press around the world.
The company recently added an iPhone application to their offering, which makes online shopping even more convenient for that particular device.
