Vantec Launches Laptop Docking Station with Video Providing a Universal Docking Solution for Consumer Laptops
Press release from: Vantec Thermal Technologies
(openPR) - The Laptop Docking Station with Video allows laptop computer users one-cable-connectivity to several peripherals including Video Output
FREMONT, California – November 18, 2008 – Vantec Thermal Technologies, a worldwide leader specializing in computer accessories introduces the new Vantec Laptop Docking Station with Video to the notebook accessories lineup. The product allows users to gain access to their network, additional display, storage, headset, printer, keyboard, mouse and other USB peripherals though a single USB connection. This is a convenient solution enabling users the ability to enter and leave their workspace without having to deal with all the messy wires and connections.
As computer users demand more portability in their computing experience, manufacturers create notebooks that sacrifice functionality. For example, the embedded keyboard and touchpad found in a mini-notebook may be sufficient for short periods of time but prolonged usage of a confined keyboard size can be strenuous. Additionally, limitations found in the lack of storage space as well as the small displays within compact notebooks can hinder user’s productivity.
Given these limitations, users who fully utilize the docking station can quickly gain access to various peripherals and devices. Some applications for the Laptop Docking Stations can be found in office environments in which having an ultra-portable laptop is feasible however one may demand additional functionality. Users can conveniently connect to an ergonomic keyboard, mouse and display, allowing them to make use of those devices within the office and be just as productive as using a full desktop.
Another great feature is the built-in video output of the docking station supporting DVI and VGA monitors or projectors up to 1600 by 1200 resolution and various modes of display. This will be suitable for Office, Presentation, Graphics, Data-Entry, Wall Street, and Entertainment.
The Vantec Laptop Docking Station (P/N# DSH-200U2) will be available at retailers in early December. For additional product information and full technical specifications, please visit www.vantecusa.com.

Comments about openPR
OpenPR ist the nicest and most clearly laid out PR platform I have seen to this day. The press releases are displayed very nicely and clearly and without any unnecessary frills.
The updates are fast and the finished release looks appealing and is clearly legible.
Even with 16 years of experience one discovers new things from time to time.
Congratulations!
