Flush Diaphragm Submersible Pressure Sensor Ideal for Various Level Monitoring Applications
Press release from: American Sensor Technologies
(openPR) - American Sensor Technologies, Inc. (AST) introduces a new media isolated, submersible pressure sensor with a flush diaphragm steel cage designed for use in level monitoring applications associated with water, food stuffs and heavy oil. Featuring all stainless steel construction and approved to UL/cUL913 Class 1, Division 1 IS, Groups C and D with an approved barrier, the AST4520 is the cost effective solution for level monitoring of turbulent tanks with viscous media. The Flush Diaphragm Steel Cage design allows for proper flow of media while keeping the sensor at the bottom of the tank or well. With an engraved 316L housing and Kynar PVDF cable, this sensor is built to last in the toughest environments.
The AST4520 is extremely versatile and suitable in a variety of submersible and level measurement applications. These applications include: wastewater, storm water, industrial lift stations, and holding tanks. Units operate at wide temperature ranges of -40 to 85°C (-40 to 185°F) and offer pressure ranges from 0-5 to 0-15 PSIG. All AST4520 units come standard with ±0.25% BFSL accuracy, EMI/RFI protection of 100V/meter and a 4-20mA output.
Competitive pricing for the AST4520 starts at $550 with quantity discounts available. For more information on these Submersible Pressure Sensors, visit the AST website at www.astsensors.com or contact the factory at info@astsensors.com.
AST manufacture state-of-the-art, MEMS-based pressure sensors, transducers and transmitters that offer the best price-performance ratio in the industry. Through the acquisition of noted LVDT manufacturer Macro Sensors (www.macrosensors.com/), AST also offers a full line of linear/rotary position sensors, as well as related instrumentation. Common applications of AST sensor products are in industrial OEM, hydraulic systems, fuel cells, medical gases, HVAC/R, refrigeration (ammonia, Freon, CO2), oil & gas exploration and production, and off-road vehicles. By combining exotic metals and AST’s exclusive, proprietary Krystal Bond™ Technology (an advanced process in which inorganic materials are molecularly diffused onto a metallic surface in the presence of certain gases) in the manufacture of its pressure sensors, AST can produce high-performance pressure units that support the specialized needs of key niche markets. Many AST products are UL listed as intrinsically safe and certified for explosion-proof required environments.
