San Gabriel Valley Black Chamber of Commerce Hosts Nov. Mixer at Hillsides

Press release from: Hillsides
(PASADENA, CA) – San Gabriel Valley Black Chamber of Commerce will be hosting their November Business Mixer on Thursday, November 20, at Hillsides, a foster care children’s charity in Pasadena.

Guest speaker Jackie Broxton, director of major gifts and planned giving for the children’s charity, will be speaking to members and guests about charitable giving and the benefits of maximizing business exposure while doing good in the community.

“I feel networking is the most important component of a small business or non-profit organization. You always need to establish new relationships, resources, contacts and training in order to grow your business. Choosing Hillsides for the November Business Mixer gives us an opportunity to network and, at the same, I know that this is an extremely important time of the year for children,” said Sheree Curry, president of the San Gabriel Valley Black Chamber of Commerce, who is encouraging members of the SGV Black Chamber of Commerce Mixer to donate gifts to the children of Hillsides.

To network with other business owners, call Curry at 626-357-5997 or e-mail: sheree.curry@verizon.net. Cost for members is $5 and non-members, $10. Any member or guest that brings a gift valued at $10 or more for a child living at the children’s charity will receive an additional opportunity drawing ticket.

The November business mixer will be held at 940 Avenue 64, Pasadena, CA 91105. To learn more about the Pasadena children’s charity, visit www.Hillsides.org.
