Press release from: OneStepAhead

The market of Geospatial Technology (“Geomatics”) is starting to boom globally. During the last decade OneStepAhead became more and more in a front-runners market position thanks to its unique software technologies and innovations power. OneStepAhead continuously broadens its geographical scope of activities and core competence fields: Location Based Services, Digital Mapping, Telematics, Traffic Information and Personal Navigation Systems.

For that reason, OneStepAhead is preparing itself for a new investment round to facilitate this growth. Since this ambitious goal was no longer in line with its parent company's policy, OneStepAhead management and shareholders proposed to step out of ROAD Group and acquire back all shares. Both parties agreed that this resolution is in best interest for both companies and executed this crucial deal on November 5th 2008.

OneStepAhead is very positive about its future and continues to provide industries and governments with high quality geospatial software embedded in tailor-made solutions. Prof. Dr. R. von Schwerin and Mr. Ad Bastiaansen are requested by OneStepAhead to continue their position in the supervisory board and to support the management in the achievement of its growth strategy.

OneStepAhead is a Stuttgart-based software company specialized in the design and development of professional telematics applications and mobile services. Founded in 1999 OneStepAhead has evolved from a small start-up company into an efficient and reliable software provider and system integration partner.

OneStepAheads’ mission is to design and implement world-class mobile applications and to provide the best software components available in today’s telematics market. To be one step ahead is the company’s daily motto and technological incentive. The company’s scope of services begins with consulting and continues through system analysis and design, software implementation and integration to professional services.
