The Xmas countdown will kick off on December 1 on the new English-language website for “high potentials.” An interactive Christmas special offers users worldwide the chance to submit their own personal Christmas plans and experiences alongside with their photo to the editors of Young Germany at team@young-germany.de. The personal stories will be published as part of the Christmas special, which also comprises recipes, German traditions and tips for Christmas market visits. Furthermore, users will be able to send their season’s greetings via e-cards. These will feature quirky illustrations surrounding the topic “Christmas in Germany.” The special is rounded off with a 2005 flashback.

About Young Germany:

The website is a joint project of the German Federal Foreign Office’s Internet department and the Societäts-Verlag publishing house in Frankfurt am Main. The broad, up-to-date mix of topics will be complemented by offerings for those who come to Germany for work or education. Interactive services provide help searching for a job, an apartment and making first contacts. In addition, a forum offers a communication platform to all who are interested in Germany.

Young Germany is an Internet partner of large German organizations, such as the Goethe-Institute, the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD), the Helmholtz Association and many others. The FAZ.-Hochschulanzeiger, jobstairs.de and wg-gesucht.de are also among Young Germany’s partners.
