(openPR) - Goshen, MA, November 28, 2005 – Werner John's music is haunting and evocative, blending the influences of Early Music, Native American Music and Nature. So far John’s distinctive music-making style lacks a name, however, a deficiency intended to be rectified by a naming contest sponsored by the Massachusetts-based naming company Named At Last (www.namedatlast.com). The prize is $100, and entries may be made through December 31, 2005.
An independent musician who also crafts hand-made wooden flutes, Werner John has sold more than 700 of his Native American-inspired flutes and some 180,000 recordings, mostly to individuals at retail craft shows. His web site is www.woodflutes.com. "My aim is to help encourage environmental awareness by celebrating the beauty of the natural world, involving the emotions, and inspiring people to preserve more of Nature," he says about his as-yet-unnamed new style of music.
Previous Named At Last naming contests challenged wordsmiths to come up with a name for a web design company and a tag line for a family law attorney. These contests also succeeded so well in functioning as a talent search for recruiting paid professional namers for Named At Last that Marcia Yudkin, “Head Stork” of the company, plans to continue running naming contests throughout 2006.
Named At Last (www.namedatlast.com), founded in 2005, brainstorms new company names, new product names, tag lines and more for cost-conscious organizations.
