RACe workshop presents robot solutions
Press release from: roTeg AG
(openPR) - Participants gain first-hand knowledge in communicative atmosphere
Dortmund, Germany, October 2008 – Robotik- und Automatisierungscenter Dortmund (RACe) supported a sequel event of the workshop series on robotics in final packaging originally brought into being by roTeg AG in 2006. Once more, participants coming from various branches of industry could gain expert knowledge in the field of robotics. All focused on automation, numerous contributors from different branches made the day a successful event.
The participants of the robot workshop curiously followed the contributions of the speakers on the topic of final-packaging automation. The large number of participants at a fully booked event shows the great interest in the extensive and discussion-worthy project definition. The visitors were introduced to the questions of project planning for their own companies from scratch exemplified by concrete projects. roTeg AG supported the workshop with contributions on the development of the robot market and the current state of the art as well as information on the necessary components of a self-contained robot system. The service provider for planning and realisation Förster & Krause and Fraunhofer Institut für Materialfluss und Logistik (IML) delivered insight into current projects and introduced the potential of automatic commissioning and new gripping techniques.
In communicative atmosphere, the final expert lecture explained robot programming on an industrial robot and demonstrated the practical, user-friendly application of the control software.
The animated discussions with programmers, contributors and other guests showed the success of the event, which provided concrete help for the participants’ own projects.
roTeg has been active in robotics industry since 1993 and has grown to be a specialist for palletising technology due to the innovative ideas of its motivated staff. A further focus lies on special-machine construction for power-plant technology and automation solutions in explosive refinery areas. Well-known companies of all industries have been profiting from the solutions developed by the creative engineering team and manufactured by the in-house production.
