Press release from: Harbinger Knowledge Products

Harbinger Knowledge Products has been shortlisted for eLearning Awards 2008, judged by the e-Learning Network in association with e-Learning Age, UK. The shortlisting is under 'Best Learning Game, Simulation or Virtual Environment' category.

The primary objective of the eLearning Awards is to recognize real excellence in the eLearning industry. Now in its fourth year and judged by panels of independent experts, this prestigious annual awards scheme is widely recognized as one of the highest accolades.

Harbinger’s short-listing is for “Clinical Challenge”, an innovative online learning project with Philips Healthcare, pioneering gaming in healthcare education. The objective of Philips while conceptualizing “Clinical Challenge” was to create a learning environment that would leverage cognitive benefits of game-based learning, in a manner that is cost-effective and rapid to build. Harbinger partnered with Philips to provide the technology and services that fulfilled this objective.

“With the help of Harbinger's thought leadership on game based learning development and its innovative product Raptivity, Philips has started a new paradigm in providing a unique learning experience in healthcare. The celebrated “Clinical Challenge” combines entertainment with challenge, even when testing knowledge on complex clinical subjects,” said Vikas Joshi, Chairman and Managing Director of Harbinger Group.

In 2006, Harbinger’s Raptivity, which is now a market-leading rapid interactivity building tool, was short-listed for eLearning Awards 2006 in the ‘The most innovative new product in e-learning’ category.
