(openPR) - Axxom Software AG introduces ORion-PI® Consultant, the first expert system for network optimization to the market. This „do-it-yourself“-tool allows companies holistically to design, analyse and optimize their value chain network on their own. Axxom presents the new solution for the first time at the German Logistics Congress in Berlin from 22nd till 24th of October (booth W/19, room Wintergarten, Hotel InterContinental).
A lot of executives are cautious to optimize their company network – such projects seem to be far too complex. With ORion-PI® Consultant Axxom Software AG offers an effective instrument to face this complexity. The new tool with integrated expert system combines Axxom´ s practical know-how of many projects with it`s planning and optimizing competence. Extensive question & answer dialogues and an intelligent program assistant help users to identify and realize optimization potential in their supply chain. By this, companies are able to optimize their network on their own – from customer relations, production plants and distribution centers to suppliers, manufacturers and distributors.
Another novelty of Axxom in Berlin is a new version of ORion-PI® Work-force@Logistics which now enables companies to determine their personnel demand by using time components like MTM. ORion-PI® Workforce@Logistics considers and models the customer specific warehouse layout with MTM-time components for example per bin location and picking routes. In connection with the data about upcoming orders it is possible to determine exactly the workload and allocate it efficiently to the different warehouse areas.
At the German Logistics Congress the Munich-based technology company also shows its portfolio to optimize intralogistics processes. For example, Axxom´s software tools help to identify the optimal storage strategy for distribution centers or to decrease throughput time and reduce split sendings by intelligent order sequencing. By several case studies from different industries Axxom demonstrates how to identify and realize intralogistics processes without investing in expensive warehouse tech-nology.
