Cyber-Books - Virtual Publishing

Cyber-Books - Virtual Publishing

Germany, September 1st 2005 - A new trend in publishing and presentation is growing on the internet. The speech is about cyber-books. Cyber-books are virtual realizations of real publishing products such as books, magazines, newspapers, etc.
They can be browsed in a natural known way just by leafing through for getting a fast and clear overview of the content. They are perfect human interfaces - made in germany.

The first real service for the production of this cyber-books has started now on the web!

Cyber-books are available as bitmapped and as vectorized versions and rests upon standard PDF-files, single images per page or SWF-files (Flash®). A combination of these options is also possible.

Fields of application

The fields of application for cyber-books are very different. In most case cyber-books are used as promotion material for real publishing objects. In this case they are perfect previews for the customer and encourage the turnover of this products. Additional links to a similar PDF-version of the product (mostly the first few sites as preview) and to the order- or subscription-page for the real product are additional values.

The best results can be reached for objects with a huge picture average. Therefore cyber-books are mostly used as interactive corporate brochures, magazine previews, sedcards for models or portfolios for photographers. With the ability of rich media integration they can also been used as show reels for video artists and film studios or game producers. They can be used as image- or product-marketing tools. Also a new trend is the use of cyber-books as a publishing form for PowerPoint® - especially as integrated content in web based presentations.

An absolute special application is the combination of cyber-books with touch screen terminals. These interactive and integrated presentation systems have the highest usability and can be denominated as perfect human interfaces.

The workflow solution

With a probably unique cyber-book workflow, cyber-book.de is able to offer the first service on the web for making cyber-books available for everybody at lowest costs by highest available performance.

Due to a simple workflow, the customers are not in the need of any special knowledge base. Only a PDF-file, single images or SWF-files for all pages in addition with a few parameters for the finished book are needed to produce complete cyber-books for online- or offline use in a fast and very reasonable way.

In thank to this special workflow a simple cyber-book can already be produced for 15,- Euro.
