Artfacts.Net and VernissageTV partner to provide unprecedented information pool for art lovers
Press release from: VernissageTV
(openPR) - Today, Artfacts.Net, the international gallery guide for modern, contemporary and emerging art, and VernissageTV, the Internet’s unique TV art project, announced a cooperation that will facilitate access to both website’s content.
Artfacts.Net introduces a video section on its artist pages, which will be filled with preview images and links to relevant VernissageTV episodes about the respective artist. In combination with the already existent features „Profiles“, „Artworks“, „Auctions“, and „Analysis“, visitors will have access to a wealth of information about an artist that is unprecedented.
Likewise, VernissageTV’s posts contain links to the respective artist page at Artfacts.net to provide VernissageTV visitors one-click access to further information about the featured artist.
„This not a simple link exchange“, says Artfacts.net CEO Marek Claassen, „but a major enhancement to both websites, www.artfacts.net and www.vernissage.tv. From now on our users can benefit the video content of www.vernissage.tv with just one click.
„What drives both of us is to provide unbiased information about the art scene“, says VernissageTV founder Heinrich Schmidt. „We consider ourselves as the window to the art world, providing No Comment videos and interviews for art lovers who trust their eyes and want to form their own opinion. It’s essential for us to provide our audience with additional information by linking to relevant websites. Artfacts.net is one of the main resources we use, because they deliver the relevant facts in a user-friendly layout.“
Currently, VernissageTV’s video database comprises of over 900 videos, featuring artists such as AA Bronson (General Idea), Bill Viola, Cai Guo Qiang, Zhang Huan, Ellsworth Kelly, Robert Rauschenberg, Liam Gillick, Andrea Zittel, and Zaha Hadid.
About Artfacts.Net
Artfacts.Net™ is an international online gallery and museum Guide for modern, contemporary and emerging art.
Artfacts.Net™ collects, classifies and publishes current international art exhibitions via an extensive database and a dynamically generated web site.
The aim of Artfacts.Net™ is to provide an online structure for art institutions and internet users to offer an insight into the current state of the contemporary art world.
Artfacts.Net™ publishes, without modification, content provided by its business partners (galleries, museums, art centers and associations). Artfacts.Net™ is used as a reference tool listing and organizing unbiased information on exhibitions, artists, galleries, museums and other art institutions.
Thus, Artfacts.Net™ neither aims to be an art periodical covering current issues and happenings in the art world nor an exhibition guide publishing information on every local gallery or museum.
Artfacts.Net™ actively seeks business partners amongst the leading international art institutions and also works with lesser known yet noteworthy galleries, museums and associations.
