(openPR) - DALLAS/HOUSTON – A total of 44 attorneys from the Dallas and Houston offices of Gardere Wynne Sewell LLP have earned selection to the 2008 Texas Super Lawyers list.

With their selection to the 2008 list, 26 of the firm’s attorneys have been selected each of the six years the list has been compiled.
Texas Super Lawyer selections are based on peer nominations made by more than 70,000 attorneys from across the state, with the final selections made by a panel of lawyers chosen by the Texas Super Lawyers editors. Fewer than 5 percent of the attorneys nominated in Texas were chosen for this honor.
The Super Lawyer list appears in the October 2008 issue of Texas Monthly and Texas Super Lawyers, a publication co-produced by the publishers of Texas Monthly and Law & Politics Media, Inc.
Earlier this year, 17 Gardere attorneys were chosen to appear on the Texas Rising Star list, a companion to the Super Lawyers list. Rising Stars selections are based on nominations by members of the Texas Super Lawyers list. Rising Stars are the top up-and-coming Texas attorneys who are 40 or younger or have been in practice for fewer than 10 years.
