(openPR) - Venerable Khangser Rinpoche will teach on how by transforming our minds we can cure ourselves and others from physical and mental diseases, Choe Khor Sum Ling, Bangalore, September 28, 2008.
For years by now around the world there has been understanding that our physical and mental illnesses are linked with the state of our minds. If we are happy and contented, if our minds are not tormented by self-doubt, lack of self-confidence, emotional turbulence and stress, we are far more likely to be happy and healthy human beings.
Khangser Rinpoche will explain how by learning truly to love others, by practice of giving we can profoundly transform and heal our minds, our hearts and our bodies. By transforming our minds, through the development of compassion, we can eliminate the ultimate cause of all diseases.
Venerable Bhikshu Khangser Rinpoche at the young age of 31, is already among the foremost Buddhist scholars/practitioners of our time. Rinpoche stands apart in that he has experience in teaching non-Buddhist Indians and Westerners, and is trained in the Old School (Nyingma) and New School (Sarma) traditions of Tibetan Buddhism. Rinpoche currently teaches at the Sera Jey Monastic University in Bylakuppe in Mysore District in South India.

Time schedule:
11:00 AM – 12:30 PM: Teaching on how to generate Loving Kindness & Bodhichitta
12:30 PM – 13:30 PM: Lunch at Choe Khor Sum Ling
13:30 PM – 15:00 PM: Teaching on healing and purification through blessed water washing ceremony.
Teaching is free and open for everyone, advance registration is required.

Choe Khor Sum Ling Center is a center for the study and practice of Mahayana Buddhism following the lineage and example of Lord Buddha. The Center, whose name means 'The Three Turnings of the Wheel of Dharma' was founded in 2003 by Lama Zopa Rinpoche at the request of HH the XIVth Dalai Lama.

The Center offers courses in various Buddhist meditation techniques and teachings on the various aspects of the Graduated Path to Enlightenment. Teachings are offered free to the public and are conducted in English or in Tibetan (with translation in English). In addition to regular teachings every few weeks the Center invites senior Lamas to give talks on important aspects of the Buddhist path. Such talks are also accompanied by instructions and initiations by the Lama into different meditation practices.
