(openPR) - SAN JUAN CAPISTRANO, CA – The Ecology Center and its founder Evan Marks are well underway in acquiring corporate sponsorships from members of the community and other local eco-minded businesses in anticipation of the Center’s upcoming grand opening this Fall. The first 5 businesses or individuals to become an official sponsor of The Ecology Center with a tax-deductible donation of $10K will receive a limited edition tree that will be planted at The Ecology Center’s site along with a placard honoring the ground-breaking donor.
Currently, the Center is actively seeking sponsorship contributions ranging from $1,000 to $10,000 in anticipation of its opening while continuing its efforts to promote environmental awareness through pre-opening community workshops offered at the Center’s future site – San Juan Capistrano’s Congdon House. From the City of San Juan Capistrano to the Ocean Institute to the Surfrider Foundation, The Ecology Center has already received an outpouring of support, yet the future eco-educational center is still in need of financial resources.
“A promising future for Orange County and the entire Southern California region remains in the hands of individuals’ and the community’s support and contributions,” said Marks. “By becoming a corporate sponsor, you’re helping more than just one individual or charity. You are investing in a better, stronger and more caring community while sustaining an ecologically sound environment.”
Businesses and organizations and any others contributing at the sponsorship level will be recognized for their various gifts starting with a specialized placard that will be displayed within the Center at the $1,000 and $2,500 levels as well as the addition of an eco-audit of sponsors’ business gifted at the $5,000 sponsorship level. Sponsors contributing at the $10,000 level will receive a special ceremonial recognition and dedicated tree placard. All sponsors will also have access to a local eco-business directory of other sponsors for community-building and networking purposes.
The generous donations of like-minded businesses will be allocated to the development of compelling educational demonstrations and informational and motivational exhibits as well as educational and outreach programs. Ultimately, though, corporate sponsorships will realize much more than these specific events; they will collectively empower and inspire people to get involved in environmental stewardship.
With The Ecology Center’s scheduled opening in mid-November, generating contributions from partner organizations remains a top priority for Marks and local volunteers.
