Political leaders — including Sen. Charles Schumer (D-NY), Gov. Brian Schweitzer (D-MT) — as well as actors Sean Penn and Darryl Hannah and other celebrities visited the tent, making it one of the places to be during the DNC. In addition, The Smithsonian Institution will archive Big Tent memorabilia in its political collection.

“The Big Tent will be remembered as a defining moment for the sustainability movement and new media,” said Aaron Nelson, Project Director for Alliance for Sustainable Colorado. “New media has tremendous influence and we will work closely with them as we unify the sustainability movement across the country.”
