(openPR) - Security is coming to play an increasingly important role. Whether for the security of commercial property, parking areas or private property, the Speed Dome camera from DIGITUS® is extremely versatile, and offers security to the highest level.
The camera is equipped with a tracking mode, which is motion-sensitive and therefore always has the target in focus. The 22x optical zoom enables the surveillance of property from a great distance, and provides sharp, high-resolution images. In addition to video signals, audio signals can also be transmitted with the aid of the optional microphone.
The real-time transmission of the images takes place optionally using the MPEG4 or MJPEG format. The light sensitivity is as low as 1 Lux, thereby enabling images to be recorded even under poor lighting conditions. The water-tight camera is extremely robust, making it ideally suitable for exterior use under even the most adverse conditions.
The camera is controlled by the Central Management System (CMS) also included as part of the package, which can control up to 16 cameras simultaneously and allows access from several computers. “The data can therefore also be called up on a mobile phone when on the move. All that the user needs is a J2ME-capable mobile. The camera is equipped with the very latest cutting-edge technology”, explains Harald Kintzel, Technical Director of DIGITUS®.
