(openPR) - Openstream Open Source Webshop is based on osCommerce Online Merchant v2.2RC2. While everybody is waiting for osCommerce v3.0 Final to be released we decided to set up this site to provide developers with a slightly loaded version of osCommerce. The emphasis is on slightly, because we don't want to add tons of features in order to keep the upgrade process to new 2.2 versions and the final upgrade to v3.0 as smooth as possible.
We therefore only integrated the following addons:
- Simple Template System (making it easier to customize the look & feel of a store)
- Agree to terms during checkout (making the store adhere to European law)
Some other addons will follow in due course as well as some other languages.
Documentation and Support
Openstream Open Source Webshop is not a fork of osCommerce, which will give you the great advantage to be able to consult the osCommerce website for general documentation and the Community Support Forums with almost 200'000 (!) community members!
