(openPR) - Car rental company, Rent A Car, which formerly represented National Alamo Car Rental in Mauritius, has joined the First Car Rental brand and network as from this week.
Based in South Africa, First Car Rental is one of the fastest growing car rental brand present on three continents and is today considered to be one of the trendiest names in the car rental business.
The advent of this new brand in the Mauritian market concurs with the introduction of innovative services. As such it becomes the first car rental company to offer GPS (Global Positioning system) navigation system on a wide selection of vehicles.
“We believe that renting a car should not be limited to the simple process of rental. Customer satisfaction remains our top priority. Road maps are outdated; we must use technology. The GPS navigation system will allow customers to move around with peace of mind,” according to Saffid Toorbuth, general manager of the company.
First Car Rental’s fleet has been bolstered with models that were traditionally meant for private use as the Class B Mercedes, the Peugeot 307 convertible, the Mitsubishi L200 (4x2), the Chrysler 300C or even the Class E Mercedes.
Further, First Car Rental is the only car rental company to offer “Self-Drive” on these top-of the-range vehicles. Additional services offered are:
First Car Rental is represented by a counter at Plaisance airport and in main hotels of the island.
Rent-A Car is a Mauritius-based car rental company which is part of the Leisure and Tourism Division of the British American Investment Group.
