New England Patriots Jarvis Green to host Season Kickoff Party 9/4/08
Press release from: Destined for Success Management
(openPR) - On September 4, 2008 the Washington Redskins and New York Giants will kick off the 2008 NFL season. Pats fans and players will gather to watch the game at Jarvis Green's Season Kickoff Party, both in anticipation of a Giants defeat and to support a noble cause. Green, who plays defensive end for the Patriots, is hosting the party to benefit the Jarvis Green Foundation, which provides supports for single working mothers in disadvantaged, low-income areas.
When Rhonda Bunton, football fan and owner of Texas-based PR firm Lush & Luxe, heard of the event through a colleague she immediately offered to provide Swag Bags to the players at the event. "We produce our Swag Bags for charitable events to thank the celebrities who attend for coming out and supporting worthy causes. When a celebrity is attached to a charity event, more funds are likely to be raised", said Bunton.
Lush & Luxe, a firm specializing in the beauty and lifestyle industries, had to take a different approach with their Swag Bags for Jarvis Green's party. "Our usual pretty bags overflowing with tissue and filled with beauty products and jewelry would not have worked for this group. For this event we had to fill 25 bags with things that any guy would like, manly things", said Bunton.
The end result is a collection of products donated by the following eleven companies: EclipseSpa, Dragon Door Publications, Jendarling, Glaceau, SpinVox, Dominos Pizza, FreeLife International, Skagen Designs, iFrogz, House of Jerky, and Mona Vie. The Swag Bags contain items ranging from books to designer watches and energy drinks.
Of the experience, Bunton said "I'm glad we decided to participate in this event. Not only did it allow us the chance to expand our horizons and try to execute something new, but we got to help out a great organization".
