Pi Technology Powers Marine Heat Exchanger Flush System

Press release from: Digital Switching Systems
PR Agency: Articulon
RALEIGH N.C. (August 21, 2008) – Clean Marine Systems, Inc., (CMS) a manufacturer of intelligent marine vessel maintenance systems, has partnered with Raleigh-based Digital Switching Systems, LLC (DSS), a provider of electronic and mechanical switching systems to the marine and transportation markets, to develop a state-of-the-art flushing system for on-board marine engines.

Using the DSS Pi series technology, CMS now offers the ability to manage the back flush maintenance of single and multiple heat exchangers on vessels at the touch of a button.

“I am thrilled to have DSS as our electronic control partner,” said Perry Anderson, president and CEO of Clean Marine Systems. “DSS has the products and the industry knowledge to transform my ideas into a functioning system. They generated a working control system that met our unique requirements with products that are able to withstand the harsh environment of a marine bilge.”

Sport fishing and pilothouse Yacht builder, Mikelson Yachts, Inc. calls the new system “…a stroke of brilliance, in the often times neglected area of raw water heat exchanger maintenance.”

“When I first heard of the new heat exchanger flush system, it was another one of those, ‘why didn't I think of this!’ moments,” says Michael Loffer, Mikelson Yachts, Inc. director of marketing “I think my personal favorite feature is that the system allows boat owners, during vessels operation, to run an instant back flush operation in order to dislodge kelp, plastic bags and other debris on any of the raw water intakes.”
