Awnings for glass canopies, windows and conservatories now also in a square design

In summer, patios, windows and conservatories require effective protection against the sun, glare and heat. With its underglass awning, its smallest conservatory awning and vertical blind, the awning specialist markilux provides the required shade but it is now also available in a new, square shape.

Angular forms are currently fashionable in furnishings and design. They underline purist, no-frills architecture. Therefore the awning specialist markilux has recently begun to offer several awnings with a new, square cassette.

This also includes the underglass awning by the manufacturer. Whether with a round or square cassette, both models are identical except for their shape. They are available in the same widths and colours and with discreet illumination in the form of narrow LED lines or swivelling LED spotlights to create a pleasant atmosphere on the patio during the evening. This awning is above all ideal as solar protection for open glass canopies, which also allow you to enjoy the outdoors during a rain shower or on cooler days. It protects against heat, UV radiation and glare, and also dampens noise. In contrast to conservatory awnings, this awning is mounted below the glass and therefore it does not get dirty as easily and is more resistant to wind.

Yet it is not only the underglass awning by markilux that has revealed a new, angular look, but also the identical vertical blind for large windows, which keeps out light, heat and insects. As in the underglass awning, it can provide shade for an area of up to 24 square metres. And the smallest conservatory awning by markilux is now also available with either a round or square cassette. All three solar protection models can be individually personalised, whether through the selection of special functions, the type of drive or the fabric, which is particularly effectively tensioned through gas piston modules in the front profile. With the optional tracfix system, the fabric is held firmly in the guide tracks in a zip-like manner.
