Got Home Health Equipment You Don’t Need? Get a Tax Deduction

St. Louis, Missouri…Clear your basement of any home medical equipment you don’t need by donating it to the St. Louis HELP Home Health Equipment Donation Drive on Saturday, May 6, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

You’ll receive a tax deduction voucher for every item you donate, which will help assist thousands of people who rely on St. Louis HELP for free loans of home health equipment they desperately need.

Equipment drop-off locations staffed by volunteers include St. Louis HELP’s lending warehouse in Olivette, plus 14 Walgreen’s designated store parking lots in metro St. Louis.

St. Louis HELP is a 501 ©(3) nonprofit organization that collects, cleans and revitalizes used and new home health equipment and loans that equipment for free to people suffering from accidents, illness or disability.

There is no cost or obligation for free loans of home health equipment to anyone, including caregivers.

St. Louis HELP accepts tax-deductible donations of manual and power wheelchairs, electric hospital beds, shower chairs, canes/crutches/walkers, grab bars, elevated toilet seats, portable commodes, lift chairs, seating cushions, back supports, folding ramps — every type of home health item except oxygen and medications.

The Equipment Donation Drive is funded by a grant from Saint Louis County Department of Public Health utilizing County landfill surcharge funds.
