(openPR) - Simplifile announced today that Dakota County, Minnesota will begin electronically recording (eRecording) land record documents such as satisfactions, and mortgages, submitted by title companies, banks, and attorneys to the Recorder’s Office through the Simplifile eRecording Service.
To demonstrate the features of eRecording, the Dakota County Recorder’s Office is hosting an eRecording kick-off meeting on Tuesday, August 19, 2008 from 1:00 pm until 2:00 pm in Conference Room 2B of the Dakota County Administration Center located at 1590 Hwy 55 in Hastings, Minnesota. Simplifile Vice President, Dallen Miner, will be in attendance to demonstrate the system and conduct a question and answer session.
eRecording is the process of submitting, receiving, and processing, via a secure Internet site, documents for recording that have traditionally been delivered to the county for recording by runner, express mail, or courier service. eRecording offers customers the ability to simplify and accelerate all aspects of the recording process, dramatically shortening the gap and improving auditability.
