(openPR) - Amsterdam/Berlin, 15 November 2005 – With the opening of a new subsidiary in Amsterdam, Berlin-based zanox, the market leader for performance-based multichannel commerce, now also offers on-site representation in the Benelux region. Situated directly at the banks of the Amstel, the new subsidiary is currently run by MarketingXperts Managing Director John de Vroede. It will be led by zanox from 2006 and includes a team of experienced staff with extensive local knowledge in each of the three country’s markets. zanox plans to extend this team progressively.
The Amsterdam subsidiary comprises a central component of the zanox global positioning strategy. In the Benelux market, among other things, zanox has been active since 2004 as the leading internet portal for mobile entertainment specialist Jamba!. By the end of this year, numerous renowned Benelux firms such as DSL provider Scarlet and Amsterdam-based newspaper daily Het Parool will extend the existing customer base.
The entire Benelux market offers enormous potential. According to forecasts by Forrester Research, combined online sales volume in the Netherlands, Belgium and Luxemburg will almost triple from currently 4.3 billion euros annually to 10.6 billion euros by 2009.
John de Vroede explains: “The Benelux region is a mature online market. Therefore, considering its internationally-proven multichannel commerce expertise, zanox can also look forward to first-class opportunities in these markets. The contracts already completed and our discussions with customers substantiate this.”
