Write your own Brexit letter to Donald Tusk at the EU

Press release from: PostBug

Trigger Article 50 in your own words – how would you say goodbye?

London, 29 March 2017: People can today follow Theresa May's lead and send their own printed paper letters to Donald Tusk, President of the EU Council, with just a few clicks using a novel letter-sending website.

The website - www.PostBug.com - has placed a draft letter template on its "online-meets-postage" platform today that anyone can fill in with their own Article 50 or "goodbye" message to the EU boss.

A letter says more than a thousand tweets, here’s the link: http://bit.ly/BrexitLetter

Always fond of a pun, the team at PostBug suggest people can use some of the following lines ...or they might want to say something different to Mr. Tusk.

“I still love EU, I’m just not in love with the EU”
“It’s not EU, it’s me”
“EU’re better off without us”

Just like any other postcard or letter available on the site, users can edit the text (no offensive language please!), add a photograph and with a few clicks, their letter will be printed and posted in the UK to Brussels. Each letter costs £1.

Martin Loat, Director of PostBug, said: "When it matters people need letters. So it's no surprise that for something as momentous as triggering Article 50, Theresa May reached for a paper and pen. As PostBug.com is a "many-to-one" letter and card sending website, we thought we should offer the British public - whichever way they voted - the chance to write and send their own proper paper letter to the EU Council President.”

PostBug is a many-to-one tool that cuts through the digital and social media noise to give campaigns a physical edge by sending real letters and cards to people in power. Real post gets you out of the Twittersphere and into the hands and on the desks of politicians.

PostBug is a letter and postcard sending website that allows supporters to get behind campaigns by sending post to a single destination.
