(openPR) - DIGITUS® now brings two, new USB 2.0 docking stations in an attractive, timeless, brushed aluminium design with a network connection onto the market. In addition to the comfortable integration of notebook into the network, the DIGITUS® docking enable the user to upgrade the connection options. The problem of "not enough connections at the notebook, sub-notebook or desktop PC" now belongs to the past.
The DC DOCK5 and also the DC DOCK6 docking stations offer the user any number of additional connections for considerable simplification of the work done with the notebook or the :1x DSUB9/series, 2x Mini DIN 6/ PS/2 mouse and keyboard, 2x USB A, 1x eSATA for further end devices, 1x USB B for the PC connection, 1x RJ 45/ network.
The DC DOCK6 docking station can also be used to quickly copy data from a memory card to a PC by using the extra, built-in Multi Card Reader. The card read fitted on the front side of the device supports the formats of the Compact Flash (CF) Series, Memory Stick (MS/M2) Series, Smart Media (SM) Series, Secure Digital (SD/SDHC) Series and Micro SD (T-Flash). There are also two USB A connections for additional USB end devices
and one connection respectively for an audio microphone and an audio loudspeaker.
A LED display shows the operational status of the docking station and also the card reader.
Both docking stations will be delivered with a manual, mains unit, pedestal base and an USB connection cable and support the operating systems Windows XP and Vista.
The recommended retail price for the USB docking station DC-DOCK5 is € 49,90 and for the DC-DOCK6 € 64,90.
