(openPR) - Outlaw Fight Gear Announces New Apparel Line for Fighters and Fans
San Diego, CA: When kick boxer Paul Rollins started Outlaw Fight Gear he did it the way a seasoned prizefighter goes after a title. He began with his mind game.
“You can’t go in thinking you’re gonna be second place. If you do, you have no business being in the ring.”
Today the Outlaw Fight Gear brand includes a selection of men’s and women’s T’s and hats with plans to produce a complete line of conventional boxing gear, kick boxing gear, and martial arts gear. The cost is above average – consumers will pay more for an Outlaw Fight wear, but the dividends are in the smaller form fitting sizes and in the rich cotton blends that Rollins favors.
“A lot of companies are jumping on the mixed martial arts product bandwagon,” says Rollins. “At Outlaw, we want to be the Neiman Marcus of fight gear. When people wear our products, they’re gonna see a difference in the quality.”
Two years ago, Rollins was selling his original line of T- shirts at sports bars, out of the back of his truck, and at UFC and PRIDE events throughout San Diego.
“I was living off my credit cards, selling enough product just to get by.” Slowly, Outlaw Fight Gear began to earn a reputation, and today Rollins says that higher end retail establishments as well as boxing and martial arts gyms have expressed interest in carrying the Outlaw brand. Rollins is originally from Texas. “I’ve been fighting for 20 years,” he says. He began martial arts training at ten. His parents couldn’t afford boxing lessons so he swept the floors in a gym in exchange for tuition. Rollins got sponsorships and eventually competed throughout the U.S. and British Columbia in full-contact karate and kick- boxing. “That,” he says, “and old school, hard core stand up fighting.”
This is the level of authenticity that Rollins brings to Outlaw Fight Gear.
“I want to be the number one mixed martial arts fight gear clothing company in the world,” he says. “And whether or not it happens, I’m gonna go down swinging.” ###
Paul Rollins started Outlaw Fight Gear on his own by creating custom shirts order by order. As Paul was becoming more successful he saught out investors to help build Outlaw Fight Gear to greater heights. Currently, Paul has launched www.outlawfight.com and is working on growing the company into one of the premiere MMA clothing lines.
