(openPR) - HOUSTON – Godwin Pappas & Ronquillo PC is proud to announce that shareholder Amy Dunn Taylor has been named a recipient of a State Bar of Texas Presidential Citation.

The award will be presented to Ms. Taylor by State Bar President Gib Walton during the Bar’s Annual Meeting on June 26 in Houston. Presidential Citations are presented in recognition of outstanding contributions to the State Bar of Texas. Ms. Taylor currently serves as co-chair of the Bar’s Annual Meeting Planning Committee.

“I am proud to serve with everyone associated with the State Bar of Texas. There are so many people who work hard every day to help better the legal profession in this state, and I am very honored that the Bar leadership considers me worthy of this recognition,” says Ms. Taylor, whose litigation practice at Godwin Pappas & Ronquillo focuses on the construction and energy industries.

Ms. Taylor is a former president of the Houston Bar Association and the Metropolitan Bar Caucus. She is a board member of the Executive Council for the National Conference of Bar Presidents. She is a recipient of the Houston Bar Association’s Distinguished Service Award and the Outstanding Service Award from the Houston Lawyer Referral Service.

Ms. Taylor is Board Certified in Civil Trial Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization and the National Board of Trial Advocacy.
