(openPR) - Navi Mumbai: General Motors India today inaugurated yet another dealership entitled M/s. Nikhil Automobiles Pvt Ltd, at Khairane, Navi Mumbai.
Speaking on the occasion… General Motors India said, “We are indeed pleased to have a dealership in Navi Mumbai to support the ever-expanding base of loyal GM India customers in the region. In all, we now have four sales points and an equal number of service outlets in Mumbai, thus taking our overall tally to 100 sales points and 104 service outlets across the country. GM India is in the process of appointing more dealers and authorized service outlets in urban and semi-urban cities to widen its network. With the opening of M/s Nikhil Automobiles, all vehicles from the stable of GM India vehicles have also been showcased at the facility.”
Talking about the facility, Mr. Gupta said the dealership is equipped to provide unmatched services and ambience to its customers. A wide range of exclusive accessories will also be on display for customers’ benefit. Additionally, a team of GM trained engineers will always be available at the ultra-modern workshop, with the latest garage tools and tackles, diagnostic equipment, state-of-the-art body repair shop and computerized facilities for attending to every need of GM customers in the region.
Mr. Sumit Gupta, who heads the dealership in Navi Mumbai, is a prominent and dynamic business leader of the region with strong credentials. “We are confident that under his able leadership and guidance, M/s Nikhil Automobiles will set new benchmarks in sales, service and customer satisfaction,” said Gupta.
The inclusion of Nikhil Automobiles in General Motors India’s dealership expansion program comes in good time. GM India has seen tremendous growth in sales over the last year and its ever-growing product portfolio has the ability to appeal to customers from across the nation.
To cater to the increasing demand for Chevrolet products, a new and upcoming second manufacturing facility at Talegaon, Pune is expected to start commercial production by the last quarter of next year with an initial production capacity of 1,40,000 units. In addition, the capacity at the Halol plant has also been increased to 85,000 units per annum from April this year to take total capacity to 2,20,000 units by end of 2008.
GM India recently launched its state-of-the-art Chevrolet Captiva, a premium sport utility vehicle which is a combination of distinctive styling, refinement, best-in-class safety and powerful yet frugal diesel powertrain. “The Chevrolet Captiva is the latest one to join the Chevrolet bandwagon and we are pleased to see the initial market response. The Chevrolet Captiva is also receiving rave reviews from auto experts and customers alike” added Gupta,
It may be recalled that during 2007 General Motors India witnessed a record annual growth of 68 % by clocking sales of 60,032 units in the calendar year 2007 as against 35,823 units during 2006. The company is confident of registering similar growth levels in the year 2008 as well.
As with the excellence in quality invested in all its carlines, General Motors India also offers a best-in-class and worry-free ownership experience to its valued customers, with the industry-first, “Cost-of-Ownership Promise”. Under this initiative, if the total maintenance cost of a Chevrolet product exceeds a reasonable, fixed amount within a period of three years or 45,000 kilometres (whichever comes earlier), a customer can claim a full refund of the difference amount from the company, said Gupta.
