Steel in a Green World

LONG BEACH, CA (June 11, 2008)—Practically everywhere you turn, the world is turning “Green”—in fact, it’s now not only beneficial to the planet to protect and preserve it, it’s downright cool. The company uses aluminum it purchases from Paragon Steel to manufacture smaller-scale parabolic-trough solar collectors designed for both the commercial industrial and smaller scale utility markets. The modules are mounted into an array that tracks the sun and circulates the heat transfer fluid. The array rotates into a protective downward-facing position at night and during inclement weather, making the system viable in environments previously thought to be too harsh for solar technologies.
