(openPR) - IRVINE, CA – At the height of the 2008 awards season, Earthbound Media Group (EMG) is proud to announce its biggest win yet with two prestigious Platinum Hermes Creative Awards – the competition’s highest honor. The interactive rich-media and video-based virtual tour microsites developed for clients Loma Linda University Medical Center (LLUMC) and the University of La Verne (ULV) were awarded Platinum Awards in the “Web Interactive Capabilities” and “Web Based Multi-Media” categories, respectively.
“The hard work put in to the LLUMC and ULV virtual tours has definitely paid off,” explained EMG Art Director Robert Dorsey. “Without a doubt, EMG continues to develop the absolute best and most innovative marketing solutions for our clients, which is what these platinum awards demonstrate.”
The award-winning ULV Virtual tour was part of a comprehensive cross-media campaign developed by EMG in partnership with ULV’s undergraduate admission office. Developed to support ULV’s recruitment strategy, EMG implemented flash and rich media technologies to provide prospective college students a unique interactive experience that intimately captures college life.
Like the ULV InvoLVed virtual tour, LLUMC’s the Perspectives virtual tour was developed by EMG as part of a comprehensive cross-media campaign. As a media rich and video-based microsite, the Perspectives experience effectively reaches out to its target audience by providing them with a backstage pass to the medical center’s featured services through first-hand accounts from patients and doctors and an interactive map.
Recognizing the finest in the concept, writing and design of traditional and emerging media, the Hermes Creative Awards is a highly acclaimed international competition administered and judged by the Association of Marketing & Communications Professionals (AMCP). This year, over 4,000 entries were submitted by advertising agencies, public relations and marketing firms, production companies and freelancers from around the globe.
