He will showcase how to simplify security models and programs to address unchanging cyber-security fundamentals. The presentation will also have a focus on deploying robust security measures able to address the most sophisticated security threats, no matter how they evolve over the years ahead.

Returning to London, The European Smart Grid Cyber Security conference will bring together nations from Belgium; Brazil; Sweden; Germany; Italy; Latvia; Norway; Netherlands; UK and USA and is the perfect meeting point for senior experts in cyber security from utilities, TSOs, regulators and solution providers.

The 2017 show provides a platform for those working in the utility sector to meet and discuss latest regulatory standards, advances in technological solutions, the latest smart metering programmes, European utility market dynamics, advances in construction and technology, communication and human issues and how to overcome them.

There is also a post-conference workshop on “Setting up defence in-depth” hosted by Toreon CVBA and ONRIX gcv . The workshop will provide a wider understanding of setting up a defence-in-depth for ICS to counter the multitude of potential attack vectors. Defence mechanisms that should be ascribed to technology, processes and humans will be reviewed. The workshop will include a scenario based cyber-attack game to expand the understanding of attack vectors.
