Godwin Pappas & Ronquillo Records Strong Results In Texas Lawyer’s Finance Report

DALLAS – The Texas-based law firm of Godwin Pappas & Ronquillo PC recorded the largest improvement in profitability among Texas law firms during the previous year, as reported in Texas Lawyer newspaper’s recently released Annual Report on Firm Finance.
The report, which was published in April, looks at the financial strength of the state’s 25 highest grossing law firms. In order to assemble the list, reporters and editors at Texas Lawyer relied on 2007 statistics to determine Gross Revenue, Profits Per Partner, Revenue Per Lawyer and Net Income at the state’s most profitable firms. A fifth category, the Profitability Index, combines the Profits Per Partner and Revenue Per Partner categories to determine a firm’s profitability.
A sixth-place Profits Per Partner ranking and a 10th-place Revenue Per Partner ranking helped propel Godwin Pappas to seventh place on the Profitability Index for Texas law firms during 2007. The dramatic improvement over the firm’s 22nd place ranking in 2006 represents the largest jump among the 19 firms that enjoyed a profitable 2007, according to the publication.
