(openPR) - The 15th International Trade Fair for Water, Waste Water, Waste and Recycling, called IFAT took place at the site of the Neue Messe (exhibition centre) in Munich from 5 to 9 May 2008. With 2,223 exhibitors and over 120,000 visitors coming from 163 countries, the IFAT is considered the world’s largest and most important trade fair for water, waste water and environmental technologies.
This year, VAG-Armaturen GmbH very successfully presented itself at the IFAT under the motto “Quality in new and large dimensions”. The impressive VAG lighthouse served as a signpost to guide visitors to the VAG Island. This lighthouse also underlined that the VAG Group leads the way in the valve technology area.
The highlights at VAG’s stand included a DN 1600 VAG RIKO® Plunger Valve with hydraulic brake and lift cylinder and a DN 1000 VAG ZETA® Knife-Gate Valve, both of which attracted a great number of interested expert visitors.
At the much frequented VAG stand, presentations were also given to inform visitors about the new VAG UseCAD® 6.0, there were animations about waste water technology, a BAIO® demonstration section and a DN 200 ZETA® Knife-Gate Valve with control orifice.
To put it in a nutshell, VAG’s presence at the IFAT 2008 was again a great success and met a really enthusiastic international audience.
