(openPR) - Berlin, 8 May 2008 – The Berlin PSI subsidiary PSI Transcom GmbH will be presenting its new Customer Information System (CIS) at the 7th European ITS Congress in Geneva from 4 to 6 June 2008, Stand P18 in Hall 1. The Customer Information Systems is currently being introduced at the Swiss Rhaetische Bahn.
In the future, the PSI Customer Information Service will provide the latest information at the train stations in the Canton of Graubuenden using TFT displays. The modern web technology allows, for the first time, the opportunity to conduct additional customer and marketing activities. Using Voice-over-IP, it will also be possible to provide a direct communication between the passenger and the control center. With the introduction of the CIS customers will be able to optimally take advantage of the Rhaetische Bahn’s offers and be kept informed of any irregularities.
In the framework of the “Modern Public Transportation” meeting on 5 June 2008 at the associated conference, PSI Transcom will present detailed information about this project at the Rhaetische Bahn.
The ITS CH is the Swiss platform for the promotion of intelligent transportation systems (ITS: Intelligent Transport Systems) in Switzerland and combines all the important actors from the industry, planning, government and research. All forms of transportation are involved with a focus on road telematics.
