VAG NOVA 150 Standpost Hydrant at the IFAT 2008
Press release from: VAG-Armaturen GmbH
PR Agency: VAG-Armaturen GmbH
VAG presents the VAG NOVA 150 Standpost Hydrant at the IFAT 2008 in Munich
Seconds count when fighting fires in industrial plants. Ultra-modern fire fighting engines pump up to 600 m3 of water per minute. Industrial hydrants must be correspondingly powerful. The VAG NOVA 150 Standpost Hydrant is setting new standards here. It has two A-extractions and internal geometry optimised in detail. Its fire fighting water performance meets the highest industrial demands.
According to the German DIN standard 3222 and DVGW worksheet VP 325 flow coefficient values of up to 290 m³/h are required for hydrants with nominal diameter 100. With one open A-extraction the VAG Nova DN 150 Standpost Hydrant already achieves flow-through performance of 400 m³/h and with 2 open A-extractions 740 m³/h, exceeding all requirements and making it the standard for areas at risk of fire.
High quality materials were used and the sealing and emptying technology was further optimised for long-term and sustained safe operation. A state-of-the-art interlock of the main valve assembly developed by VAG according to the latest requirements also ensures the safety of maintenance staff in case of unintentional pipeline pressure. Like all standpost hydrants from the NOVA series this model is also equipped with a weak link. The overall technical concept is the strength of the VAG hydrant family.
A special loose flange connection allows the position to be adjusted freely. The VAG NOVA 150 is exceptionally light and easy to operate. The new VAG NOVA 150 Standpost Hydrant is available in standard form AU and with drop jacket form AFU in the dimension 150 mm PN 16.

Comments about openPR
OpenPR ist the nicest and most clearly laid out PR platform I have seen to this day. The press releases are displayed very nicely and clearly and without any unnecessary frills.
The updates are fast and the finished release looks appealing and is clearly legible.
Even with 16 years of experience one discovers new things from time to time.
Congratulations!
