Market Research proves Consumers want better menu selection and Food Delivery

Advertising, Media Consulting, Marketing Research
Press release from: eSwaad.com
(openPR) - eSwaad.Com sponsored a market research study of consumer dining trends for over 800 consumers nationwide. The study revealed that at lunch time 59% people do not order meals from restaurants due to time constraints, expense and lack of nutritional choices. Out of the 80% of respondents, a third of those that bring their lunch from home and 61% of professionals that skip lunch stated it was because they do not have time to go to a restaurant. Research also indicated that 43% of participants would order take-out if they had more nutritional choices. When consumers were questioned about utilizing food delivery, half of the consumers said they would take advantage of delivery service from their preferred restaurants if it were available. Plus, consumers would be more motivated to purchase take-out if there were minimal delivery fees.

Consumer Dining Trends, Rising Gas Prices Impact Restaurant Sales
With rising fuel costs across the nation, transportation and grocery prices rising, consumers are shifting gears and changing behaviors. In April 2008, U.S. Bureau of Labor and Statistics and several trade associations reported that consumers are trying to minimize fuel costs by combining trips, staying home, and buying less or in bulk. In January, according to a Nielsen report, 49 % of U.S. consumers have already reduced their spending to compensate for high gas prices, and that number could increase if gas hits the $4 a gallon national average that's predicted for this summer. eSwaad.com believes that restaurants need to be more creative and aggressive to attract consumers.

eSwaad is partnering with restaurants in Charlotte and surrounding communities and committed to providing a complete online food ordering and delivery solution. Restaurant owners are encouraged to visit www.eSwaad.com and see the benefits and enroll in eSwaad Ordering and Food Delivery program. “We offer a one of a kind Customer to Customer Food Delivery System with an online order placement, innovative delivery channel and web management interface.” states Salomi Mukherjee.
