Dubai will host May 22-24, 2008 the Skiboard World Cup. The event will be a breakthrough for winter sports as competitions will be held in the desert. Its importance exceeds the sports activity as it offers an example and solution in global warming context and human adaptability.
Top riders from 13 countries (Australia, Canada, Czech Republic, Dubai-UAE, Japan, Latvia, Macedonia, Netherlands, Romania, Russia, Spain, United Kingdom and United States of America) will participate in 6 competitions (Cross, Fakie downhill, Chinese downhill, Rail Jam, Big Air and Slope Style).
The Skiboard World Cup is organized by World Skiboard Association and Ski-Dubai.
