ADTRAN Launches Innovative IP Phones to Complement Broad Line of VoIP Solutions
New IP 700 Series Phones Address Business Needs for Hosted and Premises-based IP Telephony SolutionsHUNTSVILLE, Ala.--(April 29, 2008)--ADTRAN, Inc. (NASDAQ: ADTN), a leading supplier of IP-based networking solutions, today announced a new line of IP telephones. The ADTRAN IP 700 Series of business-class phones delivers an innovative telephone design and complements ADTRAN’s broad array of VoIP products including IP Telephony solutions, IP Business Gateways, Power over Ethernet (PoE) switches and routers. These phones are SIP-based and are engineered to meet the needs of both SMB and enterprise users in hosted and premises-based solutions. Attractive price points lower the overall cost of the communication system enabling the transition to VoIP.
The new IP 700 Series includes two phone models: the IP 706 six-button phone, and the IP 712 12-button phone. These phones feature a large, easy-to-read graphical backlit display with user-friendly menus and features. All phones in the series support advanced functions like Key System Mode, PBX Mode, Busy Lamp Field, Shared Line Appearance and Hands Free Auto Answer. Each phone model offers dual switched Ethernet ports to enable simultaneous voice and PC data access as well as a full-duplex speaker phone and headset capability for hands-free applications. Fully compliant with 802.3af PoE, the IP 700 Series also simplifies connectivity and reduces desktop cord clutter.

The IP 706 six-line phone is currently shipping in North America at a list price of $249, while the IP 712 12-line phone is shipping in North America at a list price of $299.
