Count-down to T in the Park

Tourism, Cars, Traffic
Press release from: Boreland Lodge Hotel
(openPR) - Inverkeithing, Fife - The count down has begun! From 11-13 July, Scotland’s biggest music festival will again open its doors, with international stars like the The Verve, Goo Goo Dolls, Counting Crows, REM and Stereophonics, among others, will play side by side with up and coming bands Kings of Leon, Kaiser Chiefs and The Fratellis.

From its humble beginnings at the Strathclyde Country Park in 1995, and at the Balado Activity Centre in Kinross, T in the Park has indeed become a world-renowned event, and has since bagged the “Best Major Festival” in the UK Festival Awards for two years running.

And because it enjoys an illustrious reputation on the international festival circuit, most of the tickets made available by festival organizers are sold out well in advance. During the three-day festival, approximately 120 local and internationally-acclaimed artists perform across eight open-air and tented stages. Previous acts have included the Foo Fighters, Green Day, James Brown, and The Streets, among others.

Although festival-goers can opt to stay at on-site camping sites, those looking for the comforts of home can choose to do so at the Boreland Lodge Hotel. Only a 15-minute drive away from the festival grounds, the hotel is a most convenient hotel from which to go to and from the festival.
