HERMOSA BEACH SOCCER CLUB’S PREMIER DIVISION REACHES SEMI-FINAL ROUND
Press release from: Hermosa Beach Soccer Club
(openPR) - Hermosa Beach Soccer Club’s (HermosaBeachSoccerClub.com) Premier Division team will compete on April 20, 2008, in the semi-final round of the South Bay Peninsula Soccer League’s Champion’s Tournament. With an overall record of 11-4-3, HBSC’s Premier team took second place in League play. A win on Sunday will move HBSC into the May 4, 2008 final against likely finalist Fram Scandia.
“While no one is looking past Sunday’s semi-final match, everyone is excited about the possibility of meeting Fram in the final,” said Jesse Torres, HBSC Founder. “The opportunity to play Fram for the trophy has the Premier team focused on doing everything needed to ensure a win in this week’s semi-final match.”
“With two games left before the end of the season, our boys are ready to finish the year strong. A win on Sunday will not be easy but we are confident we can walk away with the result,” said Brian Dragich, HBSC President and Premier Team player. “Our success over the past 18 games has brought us here. One more win gets us a shot at the trophy. Be certain we’ll do everything possible to get into the final match up.”
Sunday’s match will be played at 10:00 am at Rancho Vista Field, 4323 Palos Verdes Drive North, Palos Verdes Peninsula, California 90274. Admission is free.
The Hermosa Beach Soccer Club extends its gratitude to its generous 2007/2008 sponsors: Del Amo Construction (DelAmoConstruction.com), Elliott/Drinkward Construction (ElliottDrinkward.com), TomatoBank, N.A. (TomatoBank.com), Coastline Steel (CoastlineSteel.com), Quality Seafood (QualitySeafood.net), SCS Engineering Inc (SCSEngineering.com) and FFI Soccer Magazine (FFISoccer.com).
