HALCON 8.0: The comprehensive software library for machine vision with numerous world novelties provides new possibilities for 3D vision and robotics.
(openPR) - MVTec showcases 3D vision for robotics and industry automation at HANNOVER MESSE 2008.

During the last years, machine vision has established its place primarily in the automation industry. Traditional fields, such as production control or quality control, are supplemented by many further application areas. For example, thanks to HALCON’s latest 3D technology, machine vision nowadays is successfully implemented more and more in the area of robotics.

HALCON is considered as a technology leading force in machine vision software worldwide. HALCON’s unique IDE for machine vision provides assistants to simplify the generation of frequently used operator sequences.

Naturally, the topic of HALCON’s 3D vision will prominently be showcased on MVTec’s booth at HANNOVER MESSE 2008 with many live-demonstrations using HALCON (3D stereo vision, 3D vision with one camera, 3D matching, and more).

MVTec provides individual support for free via its worldwide distributors. With HALCON 8.0, challenging machine vision is faster and easier to develop. Besides the more than hundred new operators, the speed of the entire software library was enhanced by 25%, single operators up to 500%.

In addition, MVTec will show the new version of its easy-to-use software ActivVisionTools 3.2 which is based on HALCON 8.0 technology.
