Osirys Project to Run Workshop as Parallel Session at CompIC 2017

On 31st January 2017, the Osirys Project consortium will be holding a project workshop to deliver its results to the construction industry as a parallel session at CompIC 2017 (Composites in Construction Conference), Amsterdam.

Indoor air quality and emissions from building materials has been, over recent decades, a major challenge for scientists, industry and consumers as traditional construction materials contribute to contaminants.

The Osirys project has been developing technology to improve indoor environmental quality and energy efficiency by evolving forest-based biocomposites and products for façades and interior partitions. These new technologies can then be applied in retrofitting and new building construction.

The workshop will look at drivers for the use of bicomposites in construction as well as factors affecting design and manufacturing. The workshop will end with an open discussion.
