"Ciao" Italy: SMITTY has arrived in Vale di Susa
Tourist routes with geolocation, historical immersion through intelligent optical devices, personalized experiences in museums and online promotion of the most representative sights of the destination are the main functionalities provided by SMIITY Vale di Susa.
Smart cities require an innovative approach and the main challenge for Italian cities is to integrate SMIITY's infrastructure and technology sensors with existing structures in order to take full advantage of synergies and interoperability with existing systems in Vale di Susa.
According to Guillermo Rosingana, mobinteg's Country Manager for Spain and Italy, the implementation of SMIITY in Vale di Susa will allow the exploration of large volumes of data for tourism innovation in that Italian region: "Available data sources allow to measure, segment, understand and predict tourist flows in real-time, as well as defining strategies and promoting investments, in order to optimize tourism management”.
"SMIITY Vale di Susa will adapt all digital content to existing international standards, including the Web Accessibility 2.0 (WCAG 2.0) guidelines and the Mobile Web Best Practices (MWBP) and Mobile Web Application Best Practices W3C Wide Web Consortium)", adds the Country Manager. All to make tourism more accessible and interactive to visitors and residents.
SMIITY is free and compatible with iOS and Android devices. There is also a version for Apple Smartwatch. In addition, SMIITY allows you to convert text to audio files in a language of your choice. A tool that makes tourism experiences more inclusive, especially for visually impaired visitors.
