Press release from: Blue Order Solutions AG

Blue Order, known as a leading global provider of Enterprise Workflow and Media Asset Management (MAM) solutions for audiovisual content, has been deploying solutions since 1995 in media and entertainment applications. Blue Order’s main product Media Archive® MAM makes access to audiovisual content quick and easy, streamlines and automates workflows and enables content owners to reuse, repurpose and resell their content more effectively, turning raw content into true assets.

At NAB 2008 (SU11711), Blue Order will showcase a wide range of new features available for its Media Archive® 3.2 Enterprise MAM Platform.

What's hot in Media Archive® 3.2:

• Folio Folders enhance collaborative workflows by automating procedures based on predefined rules and authorizations. Folio Folders allow automation of the deletion and relocation of media across multiple folders to make your working environment faster and more efficient.

• User Interface Enhancements focused on helping archivists, producers and journalists become more productive.

• Support for multi-site deployments makes it easy to work across offices in different locations:
a. Replication functionality – synchronizes metadata and content across geographically distributed Media Archive systems enabling users to efficiently work at their local work place independent from the availability of WAN connections
b. Multi-site search functionality - capable of searching across multiple, geographically distributed Media Archive installations simply at the touch of one button. The solution enables the user to search, retrieve, browse and edit multimedia content across multiple sites in the same way as for just one local site.

• Enhanced Data Management with
a. Thesaurus support for various languages including English, German, Portuguese and Polish. The system is ready for support of other languages with just a few clicks.
b. Compound Attributes are freely configurable multi-value sets of attributes displayable and editable as tables in the GUI. This allows to, e.g., describe events such as broadcasts in distinct aspects such as date, time, broadcaster and channel
c. Hierarchical associations make it easier to work with different versions and instances. Hierarchical associations improve dubbing workflows, subtitling workflows and saving HD and SD versions of the same content and many more.

• Extended Rights Management Unlike other vendors Blue Order supports rights annotation per frame. This allows the accurate description of rights per clip, shot and even down to frame level. The rights management engine automatically calculates rights for takes/segments, EDLs and orders.

• Enhanced Tri-Media Support for
a. Video - enabling upload, analysis, format conversions, browsing, EDL generation in the Browsing Client, export including conversions
b. Audio - enabling upload, analysis, format conversions, browsing, EDL generation in the Browsing Client, export including conversions
c. Images - enabling upload, format conversions, browsing, export including conversions

• High Availability featuring
a. multiple instances of Web Retrieval & Workspace Management to improve the responsiveness and availability
b. multiple Streaming Servers for improved load balancing and location awareness making your system faster and optimizing the usage of network bandwidth
c. multiple Workflow Engines to improve load balancing

• Optimized Integrations with Omneon Spectrum and Omneon MediaGrid, Marquis Medway, EVS XT via XFile and IP Director

• Full Support for Oracle 10g, SQL Server 2005, Windows Vista, Internet Explorer 7, and Safari 2.0
