(openPR) - March 18, 2008, Satellite Beach. HJR 7003 will be presented on the House of Representatives floor on March 19th. This bill will allow qualified military personnel to receive a credit to be applied to their next tax bill equal to the number of days they spend deployed.
“Our county houses a number of active military personnel. Patrick Air Force base is a dynamic and integral part of our community. With many of our citizens protecting our freedoms this is the least we can do to say ‘Thank You’ to these brave warriors,” said Jason Steele, former Representative and Candidate for Florida House District 31.
“I fully support our military and their families. The burden they have placed upon them by leaving their families behind can never be fully compensated. This is a small price for us to pay as compared to the large cost they have already paid”.
Jason Steele served in the Florida House of Representatives in the 1980’s and is currently a candidate for House District 31 serving parts of South Brevard County.
