Press release from: Luxury Real Estate
(openPR) - SEATTLE – Hammond Residential GMAC Real Estate, well-known in the Greater Boston area as a trusted source of real-estate services, has been accepted into the Luxury Real Estate Board of Regents, an exclusive group of leading brokers.
Formed in 1991 by Saul B. Cohen and Joseph Hare, Hammond Residential GMAC now has 220 agents and nine offices servicing Boston and 28 neighboring suburban communities. In 2000, Hammond became part of GMAC Real Estate’s New England network of companies, whose New England network has more than 1,250 agents, 230 employees and 60 offices in New England.
“Joining the Board of Regents is like being inducted into the Hall of Fame,” said John Brian Losh, CEO and publisher of LuxuryRealEstate.com, and CEO, chairman and broker of Ewing & Clark, Inc., Seattle’s oldest real-estate brokerage. “Hammond has come a long way in a short amount of time until they have arrived at the top of their market. We’re pleased to have them join our ranks.”
The Board of Regents is a prestigious affiliation of luxury brokers, which forms the governing body of the global Luxury Real Estate network. It is comprised of 85 brokerage firms representing more than 600 offices and 1,700 luxury real estate professionals from around the world. Each Board of Regents member is selected because of his or her qualifications and commitment to the Luxury Real Estate brand.
Cohen, president and co-founder of Hammond Residential GMAC, is a graduate of Harvard College and the Harvard Business School. Currently a resident of Chestnut Hill, Mass., he began his real-estate career in 1973, and was responsible for many major sales in the area. Since moving into management in 1982, he has been an industry leader, helping his company join the top 100 real-estate firms in the United States, in terms of annual sales.
