(openPR) - Karlsruhe, March 12, 2008 – ABAS Software announces the formation of a partnership with AAA Base IT of Assen, Holland to localize its software for the Dutch market. AAA Base IT specializes in implementing and supporting ERP systems for production companies. In siding with ABAS, the company is taking the necessary step in securing the longevity of its product offering.

“We consider abas Business Software to be our ‘new economy’ ERP solution,” explains Roy van der Veen, Owner of AAA Base IT, “Before abas, we had been working with two ERP offerings that are no longer being maintained. It is essential that we are able to offer a solution that will resolve not just today’s complex automation problems, but future situations that could arise as our customers expand their businesses. By implementing abas, we are providing a software that is continuously developed and will never become outdated.”

Van der Veen also notes that it was important to incorporate an ERP system that is Linux-compatible. He points out a growing demand among Dutch production companies to run their ERP systems on Linux due to the operating system’s inherent stability. Since 1995, ABAS has been supporting Linux on the server side and to-date over 80% of all installations are Linux-based. Today, users also have the option to run abas Business Software with Linux on the client side, as well.
