(openPR) - SEATTLE – Scott Lawrence, an experienced real-estate agent with Alain Pinel Realtors in San Francisco, agreed to lead a key discussion on technology at the 6th Annual Luxury Real Estate Spring Retreat, joining an event packed with other renowned speakers.

This event will be hosted at the recently opened Grand Del Mar in San Diego on April 15-18, 2008. Lawrence will lead a group discussion on “How brokers use technology and the Internet to enhance the customer’s experience.”

“Technology is a vehicle to be used, not avoided,” said Lawrence, who has been a licensed California real-estate agent for more than 27 years. “I hope to develop a must-have toolkit consensus of my group of listeners. What works and what is hype?”

Some of the must-have resources that he suggests for brokers and agents include Mobile MLS through PDA, Electronic Signatures, Web site Marketing, Search Engine Optimization and an understanding of Google Rankings.

Lawrence has a master’s degree in business administration from California State University, San Diego, with an emphasis in international business. He has a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration from California State University, Chico, with majors in finance and economics. Before joining Alain Pinel Realtors, he worked as a business continuity consultant, and prior to that he held a senior position in software design and information technology management for Pacific Bell.

Scott Lawrence is a member of the San Francisco Chamber of Commerce, Multiple Listing Service for Solano, Napa, Marin and Sonoma counties, and the San Francisco Association of REALTORS®. He is also a member of the California Association of REALTORS® and the National Association of REALTORS®. In his free time, Lawrence is a music-education fundraiser and charity auctioneer for the San Ramon School District and is a Cal High Band Booster. He enjoys snowboarding, wakeboarding and scuba diving.
